USSF D License
Cost $250

Under the new Grassroots curriculum, the USSF National D License is still a 40+ hour long course spread over two separate meeting blocks.  The first block is 2 days that focuses on development of the player-centered environment.  At the completion of the first meeting block, the coaches go to a ‘deliberate practice’ phase where they practice the methods and learning processes discussing in the first meeting block.  The second meeting block is held at least 5 weeks after the first meeting block to give the coaches enough time to tinker with the material during the deliberate practice phase.  The second meeting block is 2 days and focuses on real coaching, opportunities to display the skills they have learned, and getting feedback from the course instructors.

This course is mandatory for our U15 and up premier level coaches.

The newly revamped D License is a culmination of all four game models and an extension of the Grassroots courses. After completion of the Grassroots Courses, coaches will have the knowledge and tools to positively impact their player and the environment in which they interact.

ligibility Requirements:  In order to register for the D License Course, candidates must have completed U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching module, along with 2 previous in-person courses.  Those with current USSF E licenses will be accepted.
