2008 Pine Tree League
Spring ’08 PineTree Coaches,
Soccer Maine is pleased to announce that in effort to better serve its membership, we have procured the services of Demosphere Int’l to utilize their web-based scheduling software and score reporting systems.
The Spring ’08 PineTree League is the first league that will use the scheduling feature. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and the need to get schedules released as early as possible, SoccerMaine wasn’t able to enter the team’s contact information. As a result, coaches will have to reference the attached Microsoft Excel workpaper for this information. The contact information will be used in all future leagues.
April 27th and will be an “open play date” for the coaches to schedule as they choose. We suggest using the date to play if at all possible. We understand that many teams/clubs probably will not have access to fields due to the accumulated snow pack, melting and the associated wetness of the field.
The first play date of the season will be on May 4th.
Game schedules can be found at: http://soccermaine.demosphere.com/schedules/index_E.html
A few reminders:
- The home team is listed first
- The home team is responsible to secure the field and referees
- The home team is responsible to schedule the game and contact the opposing coach a week prior to the game
- Referee fees are split
- Referee assignor fees are paid by the home team
- Be sure you read and understand the Spring ’08 PineTree Handbook - a copy can be found here
I wish you the best of luck this spring season
Yours in soccer, I am,
Larry Giddinge
