Pine Tree League

The Pine Tree League is a Spring classic league including both non-competitive and competitive age groups. Participating teams must be affiliated with a member club. The league shall include Under-9 through Under 14.

Premier clubs fielding U9-U11 teams are encouraged to place those teams in an age group above that of their players to ensure fair play. It is assumed that those teams have been training during the winter season with their club, and are not all from the same community.  All U12 and up teams from premier clubs are expected to enter the Maine State Premier League.

High School age teams will be placed in a division of the Maine State Premier League to allow for ease of scheduling and a more complete schedule. If you have a high school team, please contact Rob Rodriguez at [email protected] or Shari Levesque at [email protected].

Players must be age 7 prior to August 1, 2016 to participate in the 2017 Pine Tree League.  Please note that 7 year olds (U8 players with birthdates between 8/1/2008 and 7/31/2009) are now allowed participation in Soccer Maine’s travel leagues only to the extent that they participate on a U9 team. They are not permitted to participate on U10 or above teams. Clubs can decide whether or not to include U8 players with their U9 teams.
The 2017 Pine Tree League follows the same registration year as the 2016 Fall Classic League.
