Pine Tree League

The Pine Tree League is a Spring classic league including both non-competitive and competitive age groups. The league shall include Under-9 through Under-14.  Participating teams must be part of an affiliated member club and the club must enter and be responsible for their teams.  Teams are entered through the Club’s Got Soccer account.

Premier clubs fielding U9 through U11 teams are encouraged to place those teams in an age group above that of their players to ensure fair play in the Pine Tree League. It is assumed that those teams have been training during the winter season with their club, and are not all from the same community.  All U12 and up teams from premier clubs are expected to enter the Maine State Premier League.

Players must be age 7 prior to August 1, 2017 to participate in the 2018 Pine Tree League.  Please note that 7 year olds (U8 players with birthdates between 8/1/2009 and 7/31/2010) are allowed participation in Soccer Maine’s travel leagues only to the extent that they participate on a U9 team They are not permitted to participate on U10 or above teams.  Teams can have no more than 50% U8 players on their U9 teams.  Clubs can decide whether or not to include U8 players with their U9 teams.

High School age teams are placed in a division of the Maine State Premier League to allow for ease of scheduling and a more complete schedule. If you have a high school team, please contact Rob Rodriguez at [email protected] or Shari Levesque at [email protected]
